We didn't start Britton Farm because we inherited hundreds of acres, a barn full of equipment, and generations of farming experience.

We're starting with a plan, a lot of research, hands-on experience, a growing skincare business, and a determination to build the farm we've been talking about for years.

Rather than waiting until the property is purchased, the fences are built, and the goats are posing perfectly for Instagram, we decided to bring people along from the beginning.

That means you'll see the property search, planning, test batches, product launches, victories, setbacks, questionable decisions, and eventually the arrival of the animals that will make Britton Farm a real working farm.

We're intentionally building slowly. We want our knowledge, infrastructure, livestock, products, and customer community to grow together instead of chasing growth just for the sake of getting bigger.

You're not discovering Britton Farm after the story is finished. You're here for the beginning.

Britton Farm is a developing farm business and small-batch skincare company based in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

We're starting with handcrafted goat milk skincare—currently goat milk soap and lotion bars—using goat milk sourced from local farms while we work toward purchasing the property that will become Britton Farm.

As the business grows, we plan to expand the skincare collection and eventually establish our own dairy goat and sheep herds.

The bigger vision includes goat and sheep dairy products, wool and fiber, breeding stock, farm-fresh eggs, seasonal vegetables and herbs, pasture-raised poultry, and other farm products as our land, infrastructure, livestock, and experience allow.

We're not interested in rushing to check boxes.

We'll add each part of the farm when we're ready to do it well.

We don't have our pastures yet, but we already know how we want to care for them when we do.

We're planning our future farm around the connection between healthy animals, healthy pasture, and responsible land management.

As Britton Farm develops, planned practices include rotational grazing, pasture improvement, soil testing, responsible nutrient management, livestock water systems, erosion prevention, and permanent pasture management.

These aren't buzzwords we're adding to a website. They're part of how we're planning the farm before the first fence post ever goes into the ground.

We also know that farming rarely goes exactly according to plan. We'll keep learning, adapting, and making decisions based on what is best for the animals, the land, and the farm's long-term health.

When the animals eventually arrive at Britton Farm, their care will set the pace for our growth.

We plan to maintain manageable herd and flock sizes so we can provide appropriate housing, nutrition, pasture access, preventive health care, veterinary care when needed, and close daily observation.

We won't add animals simply because there's room for another one.

Livestock numbers will grow only when our land, infrastructure, time, and ability to care for them grow too.

And when that chapter begins, you'll get to meet them.

Probably more often than you expected.

Farm Operations & Livestock

Adam is the hands-on side of Britton Farm—the person most likely to build it, fix it, weld it, maintain it, or figure out why it stopped working.

His background includes ten years of service in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant, as well as experience as a certified welder and ASE-certified automotive mechanic.

He also brings hands-on agricultural experience and continues to expand his livestock and dairy knowledge through agricultural education, including Penn State Extension's Value Added Dairy program.

As Britton Farm develops, Adam will oversee livestock care, pasture management, farm infrastructure, equipment, and day-to-day farm operations.

Business, Branding & Customer Experience

Melanie handles the business and brand side of Britton Farm—planning, numbers, marketing, packaging, customer experience, and the occasional attempt to keep Adam from buying equipment before there's actually a farm to put it on.

She brings more than 21 years of experience in business management, operations, marketing, branding, and organizational leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from York College of Pennsylvania and serves as Managing Director of AG Marketing Solutions, where she has helped grow the company from about four employees to a team of 25 and to approximately $5 million in annual sales.

At Britton Farm, Melanie oversees business planning, financial management, brand development, product strategy, packaging, e-commerce, social media, customer communication, and marketing.

Together, Adam and Melanie bring two very different—but complementary—skill sets to the same slightly ambitious idea:

We're showing you the middle of the story.

Most businesses introduce themselves after everything looks finished. We're doing the opposite.

You'll see Britton Farm before the barn, before the goats, before the first pasture is fenced, and before we know exactly how every chapter will turn out.

What won't change is how we intend to build it: slowly, responsibly, transparently, and with quality taking priority over quantity.

We'll share what works. We'll share what doesn't. We'll introduce you to the people and eventually the animals behind the products. We'll explain why we make the decisions we make.

There will be beautiful products and beautiful farm moments.

There will probably also be mud, broken equipment, escaped livestock, and some poor decisions.
